The Aesthetics and Politics of Film

This is a website I have set up as an archive for research results for materials to be used in my film courses, to share responses to films (and sometimes TV) and to archive links to online resources. Suggestions (or writings) about other resources or films are appreciated.

About Me

My Photo
Name: Thivai Abhor
Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States

Sprouted San Diego-CA. Interpellated Midwest universities. Working borderline South. Searching for viable alternatives. Interested in indymedia, resistance knowledge, revolutionary art/music, radical fictions, magical thought and resistance cultures. In Kathy Acker's novel "Empire of the Senseless" Abhor/Thivai are the two main characters. They resist their horribly diseased society and Dialogic combines the names in order to give expression to the absurdity of monologic thinking. In opposition to this dystopian fiction/reality we celebrate the wondrous chaotic creativity of relational thinking, polylogical discourse, polyamorous sexuality and pantheistic belief. Thivai Abhor is the revolution of the senses, freedom of expression, the virus that will eat the system from the inside out. Thivai Abhor is a catalyzing enteran that seeks to alter the corrupt system through pirated words and frenzied responses. Thivai Abhor operates in the margins of mutated meanings, seeking a new way of being, becoming, understanding and knowing. Thivai Abhor is the monstrous result of a system that eats its young. We are the fucking Multitude!!!
